Lode Runner Classic for PC

Loved this old game I am not happy since the game save was not working nice. I played some levels and when I check back again my saves are missing. Also if we accidentally tap the delete button of the saved slot then the game saves will be deleted without any warning. I prefer they should have made a cloud backup so that we can restore whenever we re-install the game again.

After clearing cache and reinstalling, now works Worked for one day, now all it does is say "Unfortunately, Lode Runner has stopped". This is on a Moto G 2014. Deleted cache, restarted phone, reinstalled app, nothing works to fix this. ** After clearing cache and reinstalling, now works **

Loved it on the Apple IIc. Needs an edit mode. Used to have a ton of self-made levels.

Decent remake of my favorite on C64 On-screen d-pad control was not comparable to original keyboard control on C64, but at the slowest speed it was not that bad and quite playable with a few mistakes though. It was comfortable to play at the slowest speed since I had time to think, made some mistakes and still won the levels.

Great game - no gamepad! Played Load Runner back in the early 80s and with a joy stick. No such luck here! Bought a gamepad by Sabrent and it won't work on the Android Lollipop. Can you fix it for a 5th star rating and a revised review of the game?

I like the refund feature Even though I love the original, an Android port could still be hit-or-miss. Kudos for giving me an option to get a refund if it doesn't work out

My all time fav Love it, takes me back to my youth. Still a blast. Now I play it with my son.

Awkward dpad The games is just like the old one. However I wish you could flip around the dpad for right hand use. Its difficult. The touch pad doesn't work that well. The game is still fun.

Love game from Apple IIe days Would be a 5 star game if the Dpad was just 4 separate buttons where my thumb could clearly be on 1 at a time. I have dropped or dug in wrong spot too many times!

Its about time This is my favorite old skool game and its available for Android, finally.

Best game ever !!! Best ZX Spectrum game running on Android! No bug till 98 level.

Used to play this as a youngster with my dad. Brings back fond memorie.

Lack of D-Pad or Keyboard support keeps it less than perfect A good effort at recreating a classic Apple II game. The graphics are nice (though a higher resolution option might be fun to look at, as well as classic Apple II green screen), and you can't beat those puzzles. Unfortunately, as anyone who played this on the Apple II (which had a standard analog joystick) will tell you, it's best played with digital controls (most people just used the keyboard back in the day). However, they added Moga support but no HID gamepad support or keyboard support. Worse, I own the Moga Hero Power and it actually maps the game to the analog stick only. Playing a game as fast as lode runner, requiring precise digital controls, just doesn't work well with the Moga analog stick or, I suspect, any analog stick. It's a shame they didn't make it work with standard bluetooth/HID controllers, most of which have gamepads, or keyboard presses (which can be mapped to many keyboards and android game controllers). Please update this to include HID support and mappable keyboard controls so everyone can have fun with the precise control the game requires.

Not the same and buggy as hell Used to be a great game but this is buggy as hell. Enemies run through walls on some levels and the controls could be better. I could deal with the controls but making me pay for something that is full of bugs which cost you the game just sucks. Really disappointed as I used to love this game.

Good game reminder of my childhood. but like the rest of the reviews the Dpad control seems to have a mind of its own sometimes.

Just like I remembered it! Just played thru a few levels and, despite the controls being a tad cranky, it was as fun and frantic as I recall.

good one as i used to play in the past same version as old apple plateform ,ok for fun

Awful controls. I loved Lode runner in the 80s and this looks almost exactly like it but the controls are incredibly frustrating. Try to drill left. End up drilling right and dying. Try to run away. End up drilling and blocking your way Instead. Even the easy levels take forever to clear because the game doesn't do what you tell it to. And I don't want to register on google play so stop asking every time I start the game.

Controls Let it down. Try providing the option to switch from left to right handed with tap for bombing?

Bullshit Use to fun until you had to login to googleplay.

Awesome Brings back memories of the original version on computer

Good classic game, bad controls I loved this game when I was playing it on my C64. I was excited when I found this app and I'm impressed just how similar this is to the original game. The way the guards behave is exactly how it was on the Commodore game and I still remember how to take advantage of the limited inteligence of the algoritm that controls the guards. Having said that, so far I've found that the user controls are very bad. I tried the D-pad, the touch and the accelerometer, but none of them work good enough.

Bad controls This game would be great if the controls actually worked well. The Dpad control doesn't work, the touch control is too awkward and the accelerometer control isn't accurate enough. Not worth the money.

Controls are terrible I got so excited to find this game and relive my childhood, but the controls are so awkward and just frustrating. It would be an amazing game if the controls were better.

Terrible controls - shame Was very excited to play this. Would be fantastic if only the controls were better. Unplayable as it is.

Classic arcade-style gaming meets me look This is a fantastic game that they adopted to the touch screen incredibly well.

Wait for next version. The controls don't work very well.

Don't know about this one Control is a bit iffy on the touch screen.

It reminds me of 1984 It plays great on my Nexus 7 and Galaxy S4, but a controller is a must.

Load Runner I love this game. I used to play it on my palm pda and now I play it on my android phone and I use my moga controller. It doesn't get better than that!

Poor I was very excited to see this game. Didnt even mind paying for it...the excitment ended when I tried to play it however. Very poorly supported.

Crashes on Galaxy S2 This crashes out on my galaxy S2, as soon as you select anything on the main title. :(

Apple II Version Runs Better Great potential from a true classic. Desperately needs more testing. Persistent crashes and lock-up. Please continue to develop!

Loved it...until the update Update renders dpad controls totally useless. I'm going to try the other control schemes, but I've already played 25 levels with the dpad, so I'm really disappointed with this change. Galaxy s4

Brings back memories Needs performance tweaks on galaxy s3. Goes from smooth to jerky seemingly randomly. Only email is running in background. Controls are tough to get right but I understand the limitations on a smartphone. Otherwise a perfect port of a game I grew up playing. Looking forward to updates. Thanks!

Addictive, not perfect The game is a lot of fun, and this is coming from someone who's never played the original. However, there is some random slowdown that doesn't seem to be alleviated by a lack of background processes. Also, I thought the level editor was a big sell point of the original? They really ought to bring that functionality back in. I just expected more polish considering the surprisingly high price point for this sort of game.

Doesn't work Bought this out of nostalgia, but Jesus the dammed thing does not work at all. Basically a gamble. Avoid! Update: tried this on another android device, and it doesn't work on it there either. Looks irresponsible.
