Karateka Classic for PC

Such a classic game, well done This is a CLASSIC game from my childhood. The storyline was fantastic, and I have often thought about the game over the years. It was better than I remembered. The rewind feature of the game saved me from restarting over and over. Only took 59 minutes to play through the entire game. I had forgotten about the bars trap, and the stupid eagle!!! But it was satisfying to hug my princess at the end!

Good remake Just like the original, except with a redo feature to skip back to your last victory. Unfortunately, it's bugged out for me at the moment. When I failed to avoid the portcullis, it considered my last victory to be the moment I'm lying on the ground with metal bars in my head. Any attempt to go back to the last victory just takes me to the moment of death again.

Great port of a classic game. Shame it drains battery in background Great port. Addition of the floppy drive loading noise great too. After playing found out it kept the CPU alive for 8 hours and keep awake was over 1 day. Drained my battery. Not sure why the game needs full network access permissions either.

Alright! Brings back memories of days of old, when playing this on an Apple ][e or C64/128. I don't remember getting too far in the game before and so far it feels like everything has been included in the game as it was originally. If you're a fan of the original Karateka, you'll enjoy this. Overall, I haven't noticed any glitches or experienced and crashes.

A pretty good game... plz dont by if not on special This is a fun game to play no questions asked, what wasnt fun is when you pause the game and it still plays behind the menu. This can get very annoying especially if you're texting or something on facebook

Exactly like the 80's but sadly without 2k perks It's exactly how I played it on my IIgs (apart from the controls), but sadly it would need additional features that didn't exist on the 80's version: sound via headphones, mute, and possibility to save game.

Great reproduction of the original Apart from the necessary control system change, it otherwise appears identical to the original Apple game from ~30 years ago. Still short like before, but still completely enjoyable.

Very cool! I remember playing this as a kid, and this is exactly how I remember it... Even the cheesy music! I love it! I'm glad to see classics like this being brought back to life. Excellent job!

Nexus 7 Good game. I grew up on these games on the old IBM machines. Just like the original. Nostalgic and simple. Easily adaptable to the touch interface. Thanks for the return to my childhood. Keep up the good work.

Just like the original If you played the original Karateka, you will know just what to expect from this game. It is just like the original, with the helpful feature of 'rewinding' to your last death. If you never finished the game before, now is your chance!

Awesome game I grew up playing this game with it first came out I was 6 years old it makes me feel like a kid again

Awesome classic game I used to love playing Karateka on my Apple II as a kid. And this is a perfect recreation of the game. The controls are large and easy to use. Excellent job!

Classic Karate Action Well, it's not really karate, but whatever this stiff lashing out of fists and feet may be, it's addictive as always. We snuck this onto the reverse side of our 5.25" disks in computer class, and it still has that kind of appeal. I'm not sold on the controls yet, but I don't hate them either.

Wow!!!! I played this game last time in 1994! After that my MS-DOS computer crashed! I'm excited!

Brings back memories! I am impressed! Plays like the original at the same speed with the same dynamics. Perfect look and feel. Nicely done! Well worth it for the old timers!

Fun to play. Takes me back to golden days of gaming on Apple II. Please make more! Choplifter, Olympics, etc...

Classic gaming legend! Well done Jordan - love the android version and your books! Makes me want to be more of a perfectionist in my games

So awesome Many flashbacks from the original on my old Apple ][ europlus. So wonderful. Huge thanks for porting this.

Such great memories It is hard to believe how such a nice game could be written with only 64k available in memory back in the day.

Amazing clone Even the creaking of the 5.25 floppy disk drive on load has been recreated.

Played it first on C64 Plays really well! Old school classic. From the creator of Prince of Persia by Jordan Mechner.

Time machine Wow. I remember playing this 20 years ago and this is so alike the actual game. GREAT JOB!

Memory lane I loved this game as a kid,its the game that got me into fighters for life.Love the touchscreen setup too.Works perfect.

Karateka Nostalgia at its finest. Brings back memories from the 80's and both the Apple ][e and C64.

Buggy Crashes on Nexus 4, and uses CPU when minimized.

Everything I hoped for...and more Perfect translation from my old Apple 2 version...even choice of monochrome or color! AWESOME!!! LOVED IT.

Why can't I punch though? Great classic Used to have it on the atari 800xl.

Classic is right!!! I remember playing this on an apple computer in the back of my 5th grade class room after hours. Man so many memories!

I used to play Apple ][ version of Karateka. It's even better now!

Souvenir! A childhood revival! Easy controls. A must for those who are of the 8bits generation :)

Perfect I just keep loving this game. Woks smooth! Great memories!

Sweet Just like the version I used to play on my old C64.

Blast from the past! Just like I remember playing it on my Apple IIe.

No exit option suxx! Resolve this!!! Thanx for reminding childhood moments!!!

Retro gaming goodness I used to play this on an Apple II back in grade school. Awesome for casual gaming on my Droid.

A side-scrolling karate classic from 1984! The first game by the creator of Prince of Persia, Karateka arrives on Android with all the challenge and charm of the original Apple II experience. Fight as the lone hero to save the princess from the evil warlord Akuma. His relentless guards and pesky hawk will challenge your […]
