Diaspora Webclient Alpha for PC

Just a website viewer Yet another "app" that is little more than a window to a website, in this case your diaspora* pod of choice. It does the job, but there's really nothing worth saying about it.

Works Well but needs scaling This app works Well in showing Diaspora in all its awesomeness including animation. It is a bit slow to load even with Wi-Fi. I Will like the next update have an ability to scale the Diaspora screen to minimise scrolling on the smartphone screen.

Confusing app I use diaspora at home but this app wont allow me to sign in without hooking up on some sort of pod... I don't even know what a pod is and I didn't need to sign up for 1 to hook up my account through my computer. . This app should allow people to sign in with their username and password instead of signing up for some pod... this is so confusing. .. At this point this app is basically worthless to me now because I can't even sign in

Buggy Pros: Share shortcut, faster than web browser interface Cons: Text formatting. buggy, buttons are too small, buttons sometimes disappear, unable to zoom or download photos. Verdict: Needs work, but is still usable.

Useful, but buggy One of the most useful features of this app is the Android share function, which allows the user to easily share pretty much anything to Diaspora. Unfortunately this feature is incredibly buggy right now. Trying to share from many apps will simply create an empty post, with none of the content that was to be shared included. Others will include some content, but exclude critical information, like posting a link header without actually hotlinking it to the URL. Ironing out these problems would dramatically increase the usability of this app for myself as well as many other users, undoubtedly.

Basic functionality not here I hope it evolves beyond this point. It's slower than connecting straight through the browser and some buttons don't work.

Okay for very basic use Can read and post okay, but lots of functionality missing, like adding tags to follow, unless you switch to not-mobile mode, which I can't seem to switch back to. And not-mobile mode is just the browser version.

OK but needs improvement Installed on a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, can't seem to be able to upload pictures from the phone gallery to the stream. Photo icon just does not respond. Also, the app does not appear in the "share to" options in the gallery. Otherwise, I see the stream, contacts, search function, etc.

Upload broken? Hi, thanks for this app. Things seem to work fine, except that I can't attach a picture. I click the icon, but nothing happens on my Galaxy Note 3

Could do better Woks well on my tablet but on phone menus to left and right are missing.

Good start This is a good solid start on a full web app for diaspora pods. What is lacking here, as in the mobile web interface is the ability to upload photos. Keep up the good work! Steve

The mobile Web version is easier The photo button does not work on the Galaxy S5

Streaming Loading I prefer that when the app is loading, the option to cancel it. Sometimes it is annoying. For the rest, good!

Blatant Transphobia This place us a far cry from how it used to be. This one guy was being blatantly transphobic while labelling himself transwomen while saying we are basically men below the waist. Want to know why diaspora is not growing? Because of a lack of terms of service, particularly in terms of descrimination.

Very good, need no permission! Close Facebook and go to Diaspora :)

Love it so far Works great aside from one issue (stream loading tends to be slow at times).

Seeing notifications What is not very handy is that you can scroll the whole page left and right except for the notifications bar, which causes you not to be able to see what someone has commented on because that's off screen. You can see the names and whether they commented or liked, but what they liked or commented on exactly will remain a mistery. I thought maybe if I rotate my screen, but unfortunately the app doesn't rotate to landscape. Also I'm missing the share option, to be able to share pictures from your gallery

It lags like crazy when scrolling.. note 4. Other then that it does the job.

Terrorist twitter IS ─░slamic murdering scumbags are using this app to spread their sick perverted messages. Don't use it.

Decent start For a web app, it's still very hard to click on links and scroll, on either a tablet or phone. Notifications would be awesome.

Very slow, worthless Doesn't allow me to upload a picture, view contacts, or view side menu. Has a lot of issues, not worth downloading. Use the mobile version to save yourself a headache.

LG G2 Not functional on LG G2 as of yet, just takes me to the website on my browser when I select my pod. Fingers crossed for the devs. Thanks for your hard work.

Awesome I am logged in on my samsung galaxy s1 and it runs awesome . S3- even better!

Good effort. Every time someone installs this and it fails, Facebook gets another user and Satan gets another soul.

not even alpha almost unusable on android 4.2. sharing links from chrome to diaspora frequently fails (link is not pasted into textfield) and pasting a custom text does not work at all. several times the phone got completely frozen with diaspora app opened.

Diaspora web viewer Its identical to the diaspora web client, only slower.

Nice but incomplete ! It's a good application, but not compled. Thank's for your work :-)

Ok - Can't post photos Samsung Galaxy S4, v4.4.2 Android. Unable to post photos. Photo button doesn't work... app is almost useless with this ability.

Love it. This app works great for me. I use Diaspora a lot more because of it. I like it more then the Diaspora website.

Great work so far. Some minor issues, but is alpha, so to be expected. Still better and lighter than Facebook app, so defintely useable/useful. Thx!

No login It doesn't allow me to log into my account. Tried user name and email... with a no go DroidX

Nice layout, but can't post third party links Once signed in, the layout is nice and functional. However, any attempt to post from a source like my6sense or News360 makes a blank post.

Nope Will not let me log on for love or money,

Ok Stream works great, but can't post at all.

Y U NO TABLET?! Slowwwwww and not optimized for tablets :( (does the job on phone)

This is an unofficial diaspora webclient.Which gives you the opportunity to,Read your stream.Share a message.Find quickly a stream via tag searches.Switch between pods(see settings).Auto-translation of post(with Google or Microsoft Translator).NOTE: I do not provide more update for this app(paches will be push)But we need god API support on all pods indordner to make a really […]
